Yea it is to hot as a constant temp but for a week or 2 it will help help kill off certain nasty bacteria as well as speed up metabolism to help them heal faster.

Oh rite sorry I thought you was referring to my post lol, then I agree that's to hot for a constant temp and most thermometers are not accurate to the degree so could be running 85

Bichirs rely on their smell to find food. The eyes don't do much. There are a bunch of monster blind bichirs out there that are living "regular" lives.

They definitely get to their food with out fail. I figured the repto was blind just because of how dark the pattern was. The weeksii colour is same as the other not blind weeksii I have. Thanks for your assistance.
