Keeping fish and reptiles for 27 years. Its a hobby i enjoy. I am not nor will I ever be psychotic about it. Whatever makes you happy no? I believe I will be enjoying my collection of dats for a long time. Fish keeping lowers my blood pressure. What does it do to yours?

27 years in the hobby and only found MFK 5 months ago did you just get a PC or something

in your 27 years of fishkeeping care to share what fish you have kept in that time as its strange that in another post you stated that you didnt even know about parrots until you joined MFK

I do not need to justify myself for you. As a chef I have always worked 6 days a week and over 70 hours....I have a cozy desk job now which gives me computer time. Suffice it to say I have nearly 3000 gallons to play with not including the stocked 60 acre lake in my front yard. Your approval does nothing for me. My kids enjoy my pets and ponds and so do I. MFK is a great site for info and I used it long before I joined.

luckily most folks on here are supportive and interesting. Just not you.

the name dat sucks they are tigers which gives the name they deserve

after all dat is the Latin name and how many other fish do we call by the Latin names

they are Siamese TIGER fish
Indonesian TIGER fish
new Guinea TIGER fish
northern Thailand TIGER fish

even the letters we use to tell which is which are AT NTT NGT IT ST

they are not AD NTD NGD ID or SD

Dats just makes them sound crap and they deserve the tiger name thatmakes them sound like a boring named Dat

i have full respect for tigers a only use the term dat when people dont know what you are talking about

No.They are dats.Their latin name is what they are and how many other fish do we slap the tiger term onto.The same goes for the common two letter descriptions that are used when we refer to one or the other,slang common names.Even dat is something of a slang as it is not the full and correct name of the fish but when it is mentioned there is little doubt what one is referring to.The same cannot be said of tigers.
