That sucks man. I usually drip acclimate, but I also keep my tanks with the loaches at a high temperature. That's an epic loach loss. Must be at least a few years old, probably more.

Ive heard the drip method is no good due to the fact that differences in PH can cause ammonia to skyrocket to a lethal dose.

Bummer! I finally found a big (8") Clown loach a few months ago and lost him over night! I felt sick! I even drip acclimated him for over 45 minutes. Anyway...sorry again for your loss.
