Yeah, he's insane. I mean certifiable. If he were human he'd be wearing a straight-jacket in a room with padded walls. Actually, I shouldn't say that. He's not insane, just nuts. He treats his female very well, to the point of letting her nips his fins. And he's very protective of his young. And if he accidentally ingests one while feeding, he stops and spits them out.
He did finally got a hold of me one time.
Even this wasn't really his fault. I had been hand-feeding him. I would dangle the food above the surface and he'd come get it (like a show at Sea World). He was getting so animated that he was splashing his juvies out of the tank. I hesitated. He didn't.

WHat a beast, I have a love mark on the top of my hand as well. Amazing how fast they are, I didn't even notice me male coming until two holes later.. He is a great looking male for sure. Any pics of the female?
I'll try go get some of the female when I go for more of Juan. He's tough to photograph without an SLR camera. He doesn't pose like the umbee.
