Hi, I've had a nightmare with an online store so I've decided to cancel the order for 2 spotted gars and I've moved my bicher, 2 hoplo cats, bristlenose, common plec, red hump eartheater and 5 panchax from the 200L into my 700L instead could anyone recommend any fish that grow to good sizes that'll be suitable to add? It's 6ftx2ftx2ft. Thanks

I understand that, if it comes to it I'd give the panchax to my LFS, just wondering what'd be good additions
Personally I would add either severums, discus, or angelfish as they all get to a decently large size while retaining tiny mouths. Now I'm not recommending them all together but any one of them would be a nice, interactive, center piece fish to keep. Personally I recommend angels the most as they come in decently cheap, many different colors/patterns and in my experience they tend to be less flighty then the other 2.

Yeah I like the sound of that. Maybe add a group of angelfish, another couple of different south american cichlids and another bicher type fish

I would try to stay away from adding too many cichlids tho. Maybe some more geophagus could work as they tend to be very mellow for cichlids and they're definitely helpful with cleaning substrate. And bichirs should be fine.

I agree with Magnus above. Add more geos to your system. They are really great, peaceful and personable fish. Kept in a group you can observe some of their more natural behavior.
My freshwater aquarium is the same dimesnions as yours. At the moment I have 7 x geophagus red head Tapajos, 6 tinfoils I am growing out, and just got a totally black Oscar.

Any pics of the Oscar?

Yeah the geophagus is so chill for a cichlid. I had an Oscar with a bichir and a hoplias molabaricus(common wolf) a while ago, the Oscars are also great but they're so messy! I was thinking instead of angels maybe a school of tinfoil barbs or a few silver sharks think I'd prefer them to angels
