Nice looking fish, but not a "green texas" (which there is no such fish honestly, simply a marketing ploy to sell carpintis, because they arent from texas).

It looks like a red texas hybrid or some sort of attempt at a "Super Red Texas"/ flowerhorn.

always someone here to put you in your place and make you feel that much taller.... and for that we thank you.

"always someone here to read emotion into a post, play public defender for complete strangers in a situation that doesnt exist and to show us the softer, more dramatic, lonesome & feminine side of the male species.... and for that we thank you."

I know princess...so sad

Hearing the truth about a fish so that you know what it really is is so harsh, condescending and out of place for a public forum where upwards of 50% of species are mislabeled.

Not everyone gets butt hurt about having a hybrid. Its a good looking fish, but it is what it is.

Looks like a Cyano to me. A really good looking one at that. A red hue is not uncommon in this species.

I could be wrong, but i've had Cyano's in the past that looked a lot like this guy, except not as big.
