Big Mouth in California

I recently caught a juv Big Mouth Bass in Cali. Currently, I'm keeping him in a 75 gallon tank in the back of the shop I work at. What exactly happens if someone should happen to get me in trouble for having one.

they'll want the fish dead since it'll get up to 6' and won't even fit in a 75gallon tank.
and then you'll get fined.

big mouth bass is a largemouth- they max at 19-25 inch and proably smaller in captivity

Someone told you wrong or you are thinking of something else. Largemouths don't get 6' but he may get in trouble for having it. I imagin he would have to pay a fine.

For world record its by weight not length. Im sure u could find it but i would say it is under 4' possibly 4'... I heard it is illegal to keep any fish u catch in cali. They say it could get a disease and be released and spread it... is this true? I wouldnt be surprised with all o calis stupid laws...

I think it could spend much of its life in the 75 but will probably have to go to a bigger tank eventualy.

no- there genetically incapable of surpassing 3feet


they get fat like a turd and die because they cannot compete for food



world record is in the 25pound range last time i checked (around 26-28in)

nile perch are the only "bass liike" fish i know of with a large mouth at 6feet
