i would say abt 15-20lbs.i know alot of state records are around 12-15lbs

im pretty sure record is between 22-26pounds (in cali of course)

all those big deep lakes push out big bass that cruise the open water looking for other bass to eat

You can keep game fish in MN and a lot of people do this too. You can also keep small/baby gamefish too if you have a child with you and say it's for him/her. I swear some of these laws are totally wierd, how did they come up with these laws.

ahhh....no. You cannot keep gamefish unless you get a permit from the DNR. Otherwise yes you can get a big fine. But however, the only way someone is going to find out is if you get raided or get pulled over while transfering the fish.

Sorry but your are wrong on that one because there are many LFS that sells game fish and I've talked to them already......trust me. If I have to I can try to find the info also about being able to keep little gamefish from the wild if you have a child with you too.

That's where I buy all my game fish from, and you know they won't sell illegal stuff you know. Don't know if the law has changed recently but a lot of peaple do think it's illegal, even at petsmarts they said it was illegal.

I got 3 bass, 3 bullheads, and 2 walleyes right now...... F%$&K the law.

that sucks. You can't eat the salmon. Let them rot and die. That's a very crazy law.

The rational behind not removing dead and dying salmon is that in the temprate rainforest of the NW salmoc carcasses provide a huge influx of nutrients to the steams and watersheds.

i live in cali, the world record was caught in GA (ithink) tho definitly not cali. we got a 25+ lber at cataic lake, but they wouldnt accept it as a record because it was wieghed on a scalet intended for humans, (digital bathroom scale). and it was 26" and spilling eggs, aka losing wieght. we released it of course.

florida strain bass werent stocked in cali untill like the late 80's. our natural black , and spotted bass max at like 14 lbs.

i was talking to a game warden a puddingstone res. and he let me take a lrg mouth bass (2") home for my tank. although i am under 16, and the law sais i can take 2 of each fish under sized for aquaria or scienctific purposes.
so unless someone can prove you took it, not your son, daughter, nephew, niece, whatever, oyure safe.
