Big pond what fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I put up a thread under ancient fish and everyone said there illegal

That's news to me.... I used to live in FL, not sure I came across this... Now I'm back in India... Anyways, for a pond that size I think if u can get one it would be sweet. I don't think aggression will be an issue with enuf space.... I had a 12" who jumped and met his doom... Planning to get one to grow out... It will surely be an addition to my pond with the silvers... And for cats, the ones what u have listed are good enuf IMO...

Was thinking Florida gars or are alligator gars better

Choose a gar that does not get over say 3 feet. That means any gar except the alligator gar. Their turning radius and maneuverability can still be limited by the 3' depth of your tank. You can never keep an alligator gar in less than 10,000 gallons in the long run, I think. They grow to sizes close to that of an arapaima and many will tell you that an arapaima will need no less than 20,000 gallons. They're not as maneuverable as their silver arowana cousins. Also, alligator gars are said to be aggressive.

Fish- 6 peacock bass, 2-temm, 2-orino, and 2- azul or mono (which would be cooler), 1 RTC, 1 tiger shovel nose, 1 RTC/tiger hybred, 2 arowana's (1 silver and 1 Jardini or black)
maybe- armatus,2 Florida gars, tig catfish,
what type watt for the pond was thinking a 1000 is that good.

Azul....:)
And for the Tig u mentioned... I guess that's a high maintenance one... U better off without it in the pond... Rest of the stock looks awesome...
