Aww I wanted to add one of those to my iguana collection, but I could never find any around her. Sad times :( Get some pictures on here! I'm thinking about getting into Iguana's again.

Anyways, the guy said he wanted something BIG he could take outside. It's a given that when you're getting something big it's not going to be easy to care for. You can always get adult iguanas. They're readily available. Once they're adults, they're pretty damn hardy. You don't need any fancy enclosure. You can build something from scratch. I kept mine in a huge "Kitty Condo."

Not in England ,to cold:D

I'm with coura, tegus would be a great choice IMO.

I realy wanted to go with some sort of mediteranian tortoise (or other northerly species) but i want to know how many i can have in that space and what i need in order to keep them.

does anyone have any info on mediteranian tortoise
They are fairly easy to keep. But most Testudo species are estrictly regulated. If I were you and since you live in England and so information must be near by, check local regulations conserning the species you want. Im sure at least captive breds are allowed even if you need a permit. Lets start by that:D

Horsfields are a good starting point for some one looking to start with toises. But make absolutley shure you are able to get captive breds wich means you have to find a breeder. Most pet shop ones are in very poor condicion and 90% are wild cauths even if the oposite is advertized.

Argentine black and white tegus, red tegus and lacertas are the way to go in a climate as yours(that is if you dont want a really big electric bill) and if you want to be able to keep them outdoors:D
wait so tegus can handle cooler climates? how cold is too cold?
