Big tank's done

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
looks great!! cant wait to see how the marbles change being in a tank and out of the pond.

as for the bearing pick one up from the local hardware store as they can be used before you call reeflo. the pumps are fairly easy to work on. also you might want to order a gasket kit from them while you have it apart.
good thinking on the strips for the divider. i usually think about that when its already too late. also what do you think your total gallons is?

Blimey by the looks of things you have enough bio media to cope with the sewage from a small village..lol!!
Tank looks great Alan and i just love you Megladoras, one of my favourite big cats, take many years to reach a good size but very impressive and ideal for a ray tank due to their steady disposition.
Thanks for showing us,enjoyed the pics.

Thank you guys.

Total gallons.... No idea? lol. Tank 650, mech filters 50, pond 400, wet/dry 100, reactors 50. Been so busy trying to get it done that I have zero calculations on anything. May try to do something under the stand yet..... Wanting to put plants somewhere and not sure if the wet/dry will hold enough. Don't want to plug up the pond if the male is gonna be in there.

I have NO doubt the transformation will be amazing. I had Shawn's old female in the pond for several months. She didn't even look like the same ray after being in a tank for a few weeks. I just need to get some white sand in there and fire up some halides and wait.

May move some juvies down there. The lil homemade Marbles here have decided to gang up and pick on another ray so they will likely need to be graduated from pup to the juvie tank, which means a few juvies need to move to the big tank. Problem is I'm not sure I can trust the big girls. Don't know if they killed the last male I added or if it was the big male.....

man that looks so awesome.......i will have to schedule a viewing time

bout damned time...lol
now quick working on it long enough and sit down and enjoy it

Wow! Amazing set up and rays.

Looking good Alan...I am envious to you guys than have basement LOL.

Basements are definetly nice... Sucked waiting 3 years to find a place with one, but it just makes you apreciate the space that much more.

On the other hand it sucks keeping nice rays and tanks in dungeons too... :( On top of that the tanks are so deep I barely have room for couches with the cut up floor plan. I suppose as long as the fish are happy I'm happy.

More then likely gonna end up moving all the freshwater downstairs. Be a lot easier to keep everything in one spot. This may be the start to a 2K gallon monstermaze. :naughty:

looks great!
