Hercules was recently awarded the honourable distinction of Worlds Biggest Dog by Guinness World Records. Hercules is an English Mastiff and has a 38 inch neck and weighs 282 pounds.

With "paws the size of softballs" (reports the Boston Herald), the three-year-old monster is far larger and heavier than his breed's standard 200lb. limit. Hercules owner Mr. Flynn says that Hercules weight is natural and not induced by a bizarre diet: "I fed him normal food and he just grew".... and grew... and grew... and grew.

Pretty sure that is photochop unless you have more than one source with it. Looks like a cane corso blew up about 3 times its normal size. And English Mastiffs don't come in blue and get ear cropping so pretty sure the story could be real(I remember the heaviest dog being a english mastiff at around 280lbs) but like I said that's an italian mastiff photoshopped..
 
That is a Neapolitan Mastiff and it's image as well as the owners is magnified..

Neo's are not tall. They are very heavy but nowhere near the size of the English Mastiffs and even those are way below a normal horse in size.

The tallest dogs in the world are the Irish Wolfhounds.

Recorded in text they are but the tallest dog in guiness is a dane.. Love all the big breeds though.:)

You're probably right though. That is probably a neopolitan instead of just an italian mastiff(cane corso)
