Biggest Firemouth in MFK

Nice FMs Gervahlt. They're more comfortable with dim lighting (and when they're more comfortable their colors glow). I need to wrap some foil around part of my lights. It's like Madison Square Garden during a Rush concert in there.

In my old tank my FM was psychedelic. Scuse him while he kisses the sky:

Either a lovely, lovely firemouth, or possibly a T.ellioti ?

Would a FM have that much spangling on the gillcases, or around the lateral spot ?

Yes, I have what I believe to be a pure T.meeki (purchased at ACA2010) that exhibits that sort of spangling, too.

The biggest a FM can get is 7''. Depending where the FM come from in CA., the size will varry. Some places in Mexico they only get about 5''.

My FM-Not the biggest at 5''. I have ad this guy for 5 years now.

My bigger thorichthys-T. ellioti at over 6''.

Biggest meeki I've ever seen is probably 6-7" and ancient.

Maculipinnis can get a little bigger. This guy (who I took a pic of in a 12" net before selling) was about 7" and spent 5-6 years in a 125g.

I'll try to track down some pics of the 5" firemouths that were also in the tank (also sold).
