Biggest size tank you can realistically own

Lets liven setup and filtration forum a bit by posting our 2 cents !


If everybody in MFK had their way, we would all have tanks and setups that would make arapaimags mega tanks look like 10 gallons. But we dont live in the matrix so we have to be practical. That being said, what size tank would you dream and think of having down the line??

Mine would be a 1-2K gallon acrylic tank. at least 10 feet long and 3 feet wide. I want a setup that can easily house a fully grown arowana for life. :)
 
In my current house, the biggest I could hope for would be something in the range of 10' x 3' x 3'. When I buy a house in the next couple of years, I am hoping to be able to get one with an extra room that I can turn into an aquarium.

But what about when you move out and get your own place ???
 
Im in the planning stages of a 2000 gallon pond with a glass front wall. If the guy will get back with me about the glass (bulletproof from a ghetto gas station he tore down) It will be a reality fairly soon.
I have everything else needed for it.
