I don't think I would. It sounds like you're more concerned about people releasing large fish for the sake of sport than you are with conservation of any sort.

I'm thawing the fillets from a 20" smallmouth bass I caught few weeks ago. Can't wait to grill it up tonight!

No one should take a trophy fish. The only fish that should be taken out and eatin are the ones with no belly. The long and very skinny ones are the fish that should be taken. Those are the ones that arent getting as much food. I dont think largemouth or smallmouth should be taken and eatin at all. With the amount of polution in the water from all the trash a lot of fish are dying off and years from now their wont be many left. 12-16 inches should be the size of a fish taken. And only if they are skinny if they have a big belly why take the fish its healthy leave it be. Just my opinion
