Four weeks since I have had the fish and we are on the second batch of fry. saved 4 from the first, and 28 from the second. It has been determined by the powers that be, in the house, that we are keeping the breeding tank going instead of "the circle of life" thing.
The good thing is that the LFS says that they would love to have them for a store credit.

Those are pulcher 'daffodils' and they are one of the most aggressive tangs I have kept!!! Beautiful fish

Went to go feed fish and found that I'll be needing to feed an additional 30+ fish. This is the 3rd spawn in the 2 months that I have had them. The quarantine tank has become their full time home. I have not even finished drywalling the new fish wall for them. Sounds like I may need a larger breeder tank.

Watch out, my uncles got a breeding group in a 5x2x2 and they are very agressive. They are always breeding and attacking other fish. They once even took on a 12inch frontosa and the frontosa backed down. Just leave them in the quarentine and let them have it.

find someone to sell them to quick, or get them feed to something else. They will take over any tank after having two or three spawns.

the first batch is only 10mm long. Not big enough for sale. I did not know that they could be baby factories like this.

Yes daffodils. yes aggressive. yes beautiful. I have really enjoyed watching their interesting behavior.

The two parents pushed the third that I bought at the same right out of the tank. He jumped through a two inch hole just to get away from them!
After the first batch I removed a pleco who had been the maintenance man of the tank for a long time. Now I have 2 giant danios in there to keep the parents on their toes. They keep them busy.

update: the babies are getting bigger. 60+ from I think 4 spawns. I separated some of the babies into two separate tanks. You would think I would clean the glass before picture day!
