how is your big monster doing today..all settled in..:)

Thanks again folks :)

Liz, it's doing pretty good and all it's tank mates are still there lol. If it's behind the rockwork it will slowly creep out from between the rocks and come to the front when I walk up to the tank which is pretty cool wasn't expecting that response so soon. I still can't stop staring at it when it's swimming, it's like my very own mini dragon or something. Couple of my friends thought it was scary looking last night and one of them thought I put a snake in my tank.

I didn't see if it went for any shrimp pellets this morning but I know it likes market shrimp, sucked that stuff up like a vacuum last night. Tonight I'll try blood worms and more market shrimp and go looking for silversides tommorrow morning. Might see if I can find a place to sell me some beef heart as well, there's a meat store in the same plaza that has my main LFS.

very good Steve.. glad you two are getting along so well.. i have a couple of friends that thought my bichir's were snakey looking.. what do they know????:grinno:

I think it looks like a snake the way it moves, but I've never seen a snake with fins before lol

I've always been the kid with the exotics from snakes, iguanas, turtles, bearded dragon, scorpions and tarantulas, so my friends always know to expect something different, this one really threw them off though as none of my friends are into fish and had never heard or seen anything like a polypterus before, closest thing they've seen resembling it would be one of those mudskippers, so it's fun to give my friends new experiences with animals.

Back in grade school people would always tell me I should charge admission for coming into the house but now I'm pretty much just sticking with fish and arachnids.
