Bit by your fish?

haha, well RTC could! ;)

my leopard puffer always bit me on the fingernail, not the kind of manicure i want, it hurt a little. My aro always used to bite me when i fed him, he'd jump out of the water and bite me as if to tell me he wanted more. lost him a little while ago to a totally random amonia spike :(. it felt like an aro bite, thats the only way i can describe it. my mollies always used to bite me too but theyre now at a friends. my snowflake eel always tried to but im too fast for him, hes lazy lol.

haha, nice post. Sorry about your aro. Ya any puffer bite has to hurt a little.

ive had my convict randomly slam into my hand, so i dont know if he bit me or just rammed me but it didnt hurt, it just freaked me out and made me jump. and i always let my guppies nibble on my hand, its fun and theyre so freakin friendly its crazy. my FH has looked at me like shes wanted to bite me but i think that she might just be curious, or she wants to be petted.

one of my Oscars (about 13", it was a long finned one) got me on my finger once.... looked like a bunch of scratches, bled a bit, and got kindof swollen.

I did an internship at an aquarium, and when we'd feed the cow nosed rays, they'd suck on the palm of your hand... it was like a mini vacuum cleaner, they were pretty strong.

The goldfish/koi in my pond will nibble on fingers if you barely put them in, that just tickles, and kids that visit love it.

not bites... but still drew blood....
I used to have a striped raphael... I was moving him, and he got tangled up in the net. As I was getting him loose, and I guess had my fingers on either side of his body, it tightened up, make this creaking noise like an old door, and pinched my fingers between his fins and his side.... nice little spikey needle punctures from that. O, and got stabbed in the palm with some catfish fin spike once.

Good stuff, thanks for sharing.

I have a Zebra Damsel that bites me all the time when I am trying to feed my Blenny and Snail algea. Everytime I put my hand in the tank he attacks me. Its like a little pinch, more annoying than painful. He is about the size of a 50 cent piece.

Oh and the snail has sucked on my finger tips.....talk about a weird feeling. I lay the algea leaf agianst the aquarium wall by his mouth and he has latched on to my fingers tips trying to get a good hold on the algea.

I have been very careful around my big fish, the puffers. I can only imagine what a bite from one of them would be like.

11 inch oscar
felt funny. he didn't bite hard. he thought I was food. lol.

24" silver aro got me once pestering him with a finger in the water and was a little slow to move it. poked quite a few needle holes in my finger.

12" male midas defending his "red terror" mate reached in to reattach the suction cup holding the intake tube and as is the case with me little slow to react. peeled all the skin off my middle finger frrom the back of my hand to my knuckle. really impeded my driving ability:)

6-7" bluegill got my 2 year old. she loves to feed them cuz they splash the surface and whatnot and was trailing a finger. didnt seem to bother her, but she could always point him out if you asked which fish bit her. (she still trails fingers when she feeds, but Im a little mor observant about her with my midas [not the same one that bit me much smaller and female]:)
