Being upset is one thing, vandalizing a store display is another, accept the discount and offer of special orders but suck it up and apologize for your own bad behaviour. just my 2 cents.

I truly respect everyones opinion here and you are all right,so i went back to the store 2 days later,i apologized to the manager and the owner ,i explained that knocking over the food stand was truly an accident and offered to pay for it.They told me not to worry and that it was in the way of the door anyways(they were worried they might get sued by someone anyways..so i told them my back had been hurting since then...lol just kidding!!)I am not a violent person by nature..but when i think i am being messed with i can handle myself.So i think that therapy wich someone mentioned is not needed.Thanks for all the input guys and gals!!!Oh and by the way i told them the discount was not needed,but they insisted.

The fish store is really dumb for rewarding bad behaviors. Give us its name and address and we will all go down there and raise hell too. For sure we will get discounts also.
Next time where you're there to pick up the fish you ordered, scream at them for ordering the wrong fish (which is bogus) maybe they will give you the fish for free.
You should have apologized on the phone when they called you. If not, then forget apologizing because you don't mean it.

Beyond that, congrats on attempting to make him feel worse than he already does about the whole situation.....don't you look fantastic? Anyways, You were right to get flustered with the store. You drop a LOT of money there, and this is how they thank you? Then again, the special order could have been put down through the employee for the boyfriend, and the boyfriend came in to pick it up. I'm sure there was probably a loophole there.
But, berating the kid, wasn't that great an idea, and it probably helped to make you feel even worse. At least you apologized. which means I give you 2 thumbs up!!
Anger management is for people with anger problems. If you beat your spouse b/c you had a bad day, you need anger management, and counseling. If you blow up ONCE because it's been a long day, everyone's on your back, and the one place you THINK is on your side, has just "betrayed" you, congratulations, you're human!!
Since they've insisted on the discount, go ahead and use it. But if it makes you feel like you're taking advantage, ask them to only use it OCCASIONALLY. If there's a fish you really want, but can't afford the full price, that's a good opportunity to use the discount which was offered. ^.^ You get the fish, they get to give you the discount, it's win-win!!

BTW, if a store had a policy such as Employees and Employees Family Only, that's completely understandable, and all they'd have to do is say so. If someone threw a fit after hearing that, then they should be put in time out for acting like a spoiled brat!! I'm guessing this store didn't have one in place, otherwise it would've been mentioned, and this whole thread wouldn't be here!!
