BITES!

No joke, one of pacus local names is “donkey castrators” (unless that’s caribes).
Don’t need to watch river monsters for it, I used to have 3 of them. They are what got me into piranhas.

lmaooo. Lucky for us in the northeast our puffers arent toxic. Any one up here knows how tasty they are!. Its just like fried chicken! Makes sense because they are all skin!
Well they all posses some level toxicity but some species are able to be eaten just cooked. Granted there are also some of the more famous ones like fugu and porcupine puffers that have to be prepared a certain way otherwise it is potential deadly. That doesn't surprise me tho that your guys' variety is less toxic then some of the ones in warmer waters.

Lol still wouldn't be fun getting bitten by a puffer tho. Their beaks/jawbone's (some species have specialized teeth turned into beaks and some others have no teeth but have a modified jawbone that continuously grows instead) are so sharp that they could potentially break through chain mail.

Probably better as a thread of its own, but what do you think would have the better/most dangerous bite, black piranha or a puffer?
I know puffers win on jaw strength, but like it matters when you can break metal either way.

Un aquarium related but my cousin got bitten by a baby lion in south africa. Still has the scars.

WARNING GRAPHIC IMAGES!!!

This happened to my dad. A baby lion tried playing with him on a safari trip, and it was all fun until his calf got X_X. Here is my worst injury. Bike riding in Yellowstone. Jumped down from a little bridge and I cut my foot on the gears. Had to get liquid stitches. Still makes me shudder. The 3rd pic is what it is right now
