Yeah they are sold as 'wild oscars' here in the stores. Where I am they are always small but they are also the same price range as any of the tiger or albino oscars.

knifegill;4488845; said:Don't bother buying a young fish unless you've seen both parents. My first Oscar stayed black and white until he hit about five inches, then got orange on him. I'd personally just look for an adult specimen to be sure you're getting what you're buying. You know the Oscar world. Once you buy him, he's yours forever most of the time.
