Black Aro Fin Issue?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
How long should it take to see a difference if I use the Jungle Tabs? I know that those are readily available and I can pick some up monday morning and start treating Monday morning. I have a UV setup on the tank so hopefully that will help in some way.

Just follow the treatment plan on the package. Results vary due to the solubility of medications in different pH levels and water temps. Another med you can use if dimilin is unavailable is lufenuron. Both meds are usually carried in the pond section of meds.
This'll sound weird. Before the above listed meds, anchor worms were successfully treated by using large-breed dog flea tablets. One tablet per 1000 gallons was the dosage for treating anchor worms in pond fish.

THis is why I post these kinds of questions late...Because I get the best answers from the top people...Thanks Guys...I will be treating with Jungle Parasite cure tomorrow morning...I am in the process of getting the purigen out of my filters. I love my FX5's but HATE tearing them apart!

Just curious. What is the active ingredient in those tabs?

Most flea meds have pyrethrin or fiprinol or methoprene in them now as there active ingredient. There is also ivermectin but that one is only available through the vet now.

Just wanted to get it all clear since pyrethrin is toxic to fish.

Thanks again!!!

The pill is the Program flea pill. It contains no insecticides. It works by dispersing a drug that causes female fleas to lay sterile eggs. The adults continue to live their full life but, there are no progeny to continue the infestation.

Any preference between Jungle Parasite Tabs and Anchors Away?? I can get either tomorrow morning and since I just took out the purigen I will start treating before I go to work.
