black aro

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My black aro out-grew [IMO] its 5'x2'x2' in just over two years. It went from 6" to 24" (was just touching front to back) on a diet of mainly pellets and some meaty food (no feeders!). I think you'd want something AT LEAST 3' wide for it to be comfortable for life. 6'x3'x2' would be the bare minimum IMO, and an 8'+ would be better.
Just remember they're not lazy like a 2' snakehead or something, they like to swim, and can swim fast too! I cam home late/drunk one night and flicked the light on, the poor fish panicked and hit either end of the tank half a dozen times in a matter of seconds!!

what do you mean by that? do you mean it will proberly die?

stuff happens, and most people can not care for a water pet for more then a couple years. moving, traveling, power outages. unless ur settled in life and jus hanging around retired or something. not everyone can care for it for 5+ years.

it could take a swan dive 1 day.

so ur up to a 180 so far bderick. sweet. only a matter of time b4 ur next upgrade lol
