I was nailing this gurl right, and all of a sudden my arowana in my 100 gal jumps out and lands on my wood floor. so i get up and went down to pick it up and i sliped and fractured my arm. :(
And for some reason, this needed to be reported in the classified section?

Black aro's are not jardini. I have a 1'-1.5' black aro that i've had since he was 1".

They look like silvers but have black/bluish fins, they are more expensive.
(i bought my 1" aro for $25.00, now it's worth $400 according to the guy that wants to buy it from me, but i'd rather trade for a baby chile red if anyone is interested or any asian aro i'm interested, but not green or gold...hahaha i wish...i use to have an asian aro hookup who sold me a really nice 3" red tail gold for $900.00 and now I can't find the guy. I think he got deported back to asia or something. )

They say black aros are hard to raise at a young age. most of them die in tanks when they are young.
(i guess I'm lucky, i've had mine for 2 years. too bad i wasn't lucky when my green aro jumped out of the tank, or my red tail gold died for unknown reasons, or when i bought another green aro the gill cured so i had two operations to cut the gill before I sold it to avoid the hassel. i'm still so bitter about that. )

Someone told me blacks don't take pellets, but mine does.
(Mine has only been eating pellets and sometimes crickets. When it was 1" i cut the pellets in half and hand fed the fish. you guys should hand feed your fishes when they are young. it's pretty cool. now all my aro's can eat from my hand. the cool part is having them jump out of the tank to catch the food. i don't mean completely out of the tank. a quarter of their body catches some major airtime and sometimes some finger but it doesn't hurt. hahaha...)

They don't get drop eye like how silvers always get drop eye.
( I think they are less likely to get drop eye cuz i have never seen a black aro with dop eye and out of all the aros that i've had, the only ones that got drop eye was the silvers and my jardini. the jardini had drop eye for 1 year and after I sold it, the eye went back to normal).

They are not as aggressive as the other aro's.
(Mine seem to do fine with 4 silvers and 1 red tail gold in a 240. sometimes it will chase my other aros. it hangs out with my red tail gold all the time. i hope they have babies hahaha...i wish...that would be a crazy hybrid. asian mixed with south american.)

I really wanna get a black one.......I'm searching for a good deal....

there is one at "garvey fish and pets" it's pretty big. the last time i saw them sell one of those it was for $130.00. about 1' long 2" wide. something around there.

i seen a couple at the shark aquarium the last time i went

Hi, wondering if you could get in stock baby black arowanas, I've been looking for a few for a looong time, and nobody seems to be able to get them. If it's easier, I'd be interested in anything under the 6" mark, but I would prefer babies, as hey have the coolest coloration. Also wondering if you have/could get Chaca sp. cats and Acestrorynchus barracudas, preferably falcirostris or falcatus, but i doesn't really matter. Thanks,
Mike
It's harder to keep babyie alive for what ever reason , my experience is very few people have kept them from bay ealy and later adulthood, do your homework and go to arofantics
Good luck,

Bes
