Aquarium has dimensions of 83 "x33" x25 ". I do not plan to hold more than one aromatic. In addition, the tank will be 2x stingray Motoro and 6 x tapajos

Your tank is closer to 300g. It's a little short IMO but has nice width. The aro would be much better off in your tank then all these poor aros that are kept in no more then a puny 180g here on MFK :screwy:

I want to buy it is 23 "and is over 3 years. was held together with two others in a 250 gal. The owner is no longer growing. Is this true? Maybe stunted? Although it appears that they have enough space in the tank.

great tank doubt its stunted i would buy it if the price isnt unreasonable

I don't think blacks get as big as silvers do they?
Iv never seen a black aro here in aus, would love to have one though

There are alot of factors, such as food and water conditions that will determine growth. My large black was a very picky eater and did not eat much. At 3 years old it was only 20". It was then moved in with my two large silver aros, started eating probably 4 times as much as it did before and grew 5" in 6 months. So there is still growing in that arowana that you are considering.

price is for me very low for such a fish, and besides, I do not know how the rest of you, here I have to pay $ 333

True, blacks are smaller than silvers. Also they are not prone to drop eye. I've never personally seen a black with DE. They cost more also, my area they are more than double a sliver in price.

i read on internet black grows smaller than silver and anything over 150 is fine as long as no more than 1 in one tank.
