first, Nice ray. Never seen a batman ray before, and it is really different.
second, My thought is its best to do what you can to help it grow. Takes time, esp feeding. May even haveto have it in its own tank so it doesnt have to fight for food. Hand feeding might be best. going to be hard to give it live food since its not able to trap it and hold it down... But with any good owner of rays, Im sure you will take the time to care for him.
Third, its nature. yes, a child with a defect might be different to some and think its not right to do this to the ray and try and raise it, but we wouldnt put a child down that has a problem. Why should we do any other animal out there that has one. Its nature. and we must take care of nature.
Please keep us informed. we would all love to see it grow. going to take some work, but to me, it would be worth it. I love my rays and all 100+ fish I own. I hate when I lose one...
