Point being that peoples perception of a BD has changed based on specific traits when a true BD was originally based on being brought in from the Sao Felix which had large varieties and qualities. So unless you know the lineage its irrelevant except where $ are concerned.
Anywho this is just a rehash of an old subject and gives me a headache. Like stated, if you like thats all that matters.
Back 4-5 years ago when vendors were brining in large volumes of Wild Caught BDs from the Sao Felix there were plenty that didnt meet the so called BD traits (some similar to your 1st and 2nd pics) that most perceive as the norm now. There was a wide range of patterning that was available in these wild caught specimens. Most all BDs these days are captive bred which improved quality by breeding better quality with better quality or is influenced by the introduction of Hen blood. My question is how can you not see that at least the one is 100% Leo with no visible Black diamond traits?? Why not post some more pictures of what your calling a normal Leo in your tank and then these which your saying look different. I bet they are the same look.
T Umm true but also you should be getting an honest person to deal with and not pay huge money for something that it really is not. Like buying a VW beetle as your new Porsche
Looking at a fish's disc spotting is the easiest way of telling what you are dealing with.
Normal leo = no disc spotting.

BD x leo. Some disc spotting. May lose some/all as they grow.

Pure BD. The pic says it all.
