Yes. This is to avoid stressing the fish out.

i have fed mine tadpoles, once they are in the teens for lenght it might be able to eat a small one...mine is 10"+

Does a BGK jump a lot, like an arowana?
Or do they just stay in the water all the time?

yes, i had this combo for a while and lal the market prawns that hit the floor the bgk cleaned up

I have a 7+ year old BGK... and recently got rid of one that was 5 years old (housed seperately)... neither one ever jump...

the only time i have seen them jump was when i was moving them...they bailed out of the container i had them in...other wise they are layed back...they don't even surface like clowns do...
