About a month or so ago i purchased 4 tigerfish. 3 Goliaths and one Tanzaniae. They are in a 72x20x24 tank with 2 api xl cannisters, 2x 3200gph hydor circ pumps, and 2x 1400gph hydor circ pumps with a 200gal air pump hooked up to each one. here is a pic of the tank. it is painted black on 3 sides and the bottom. I also bought 4 tinfoil barbs to go in with them as dithers.

I ended up selling the smallest gatf because i feared the worst for it in a tank with another type of atf. They started eating pellets about 2 weeks after getting them and are now eating 4-6 jumbo carnistix each a day per fish over their two feedings (morning and night). they were about 4.5" when i got them.

They have put on about 3/4"-1" in a month. This is about the quickest ive ever noticed an atf grow. Also the more aggressive of the 2 gatf has gone a dark steel colour. It is the smaller of the 2 gatf but is always the first to eat and he defends his corner very readily against the other 2 atf. his fins are all black except for the bottom lobe on the tail which is red. the back is jet black an the sides dont have that "chrome" shine like the other.

I know the pics arnt the best but with the almost white water current in the tank its very hard to keep these guys still. if someone could confirm that it is the start of a black goliath id love to hear it. if theres another reason for the colour change id also appreciate any answer.
ps. it is not just from the lighting that the colour is different. im going to try to get a clearer pic of this guy.
