Black Goliath?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
haha alright yea the bubbles r givin me a headache. and alright. 5 years the fish will be about what? 20" or so? yea i dont think its worth the effort for me. ill just leave it where it is and grow him out in that set up for now.

Lets say two feet by then. I'm on the verge of losing my motivation to continue with the experiment myself. I can see why most don't bother to do blackwater and keep the fish in clear water, even if it does result in conventional chrome coloration.

Ahh uve put a lot of time into it. Hey how did ur black aro with ur gatf end up? Any problems cuz i have a leichardti that im also growing out. It looks great and wont even eat a small danio i put in with it. Im contemplating putting it in the big tank once i only have 1 atf.

They've only ever had one scuffle and it was started by the aro. They're pretty much inseparable now.

Ok. U think a mild tempered leichardti would be ok with one eventually? Cuz i know the growth rate on it is slower then the black. Hes put on about 1.5" in a month but i know it slows down at around a foot. Id wait till the gatf starts to thicken up before trying this however. Also how does ur aro do with lots of current?

I had to rearrange my powerheads to leave some slack on the surface for the aro. He can get around in the current if he needs to just fine, but he prefers calm waters at the top so I accommodate him.

I don't see an issue with a lei.

Alright awesome. I also have a ripsaw cat that i could probably put in with no issues then as well. In a couple months ill see what happens. I have a spare 110gal tank anyways if problems occur.
