how many of those to cover my 120 gallon?

that sandy like substrate moon rock stuff will that be ok with the fish kicking up and crap i dont want to kill my filter there not cheap

120lbs wil be about 1inch depth

places like petsmart have differant color gravel for cheap . atleast around me they carry stuff like that . also iv always been told you want a pound of gravel for every gallon of water your tank is .

does that sand have issues with filters?

bro.... what kind of filtration do you have????
dont be so worried....:nilly:
cuz, im pretty sure you can make adjustments right...:screwy:

yes,,, having pea's.. they are skittish, but its not a big deal, sand goes up... not too far, and then it goes down...:screwy:

but if sand concerns you tooooooooo much go with rock/gravel...:nilly:

I have black estes marine sand in my 180g. It's fairly easily vacuumed and looks nice. It's a 30" tall tank and the only filter is a sump that gets its water from an overflow at the very top of the tank. Even with a VERY FINE mechanical filter sock, I don't see any sand in it. It's a large grain sand, but still soft, so I would think it would get caught in the sock.
