i think its only due to genes. juveniles have a lot more pigmentation for survival, they lose it as they grow old coz they dont need the camouflage. maybe this one has got more survival genes compared to your normal jar, or its parents came from an area of darker vegetation. in any case, i think it'll lose the black coloration and turn out to be a dark green jardini of some sort
