Thanks guys, I like him so far but everyone is right, he has quite the attitude! I havnt had a nipping problem yet but he chases everyone around the tank that will let him. I have a chocolate cichlid in there that's bigger than he is and Flaired out at him the first few times now he has given up and just keeps his distance. I do like how he is darkening up over the black gravel! Sorry I still only have a crappy cell pic

Also he responds very well to seeing me. He comes to the front of the tank and eyeballs me like he is checking me out as much as I'm checking him out. Really a cool fish so far! I'm very happy!

Looks nice and as for your question about the spots I think that is more or less a regional variation,depending on which area they are collected from...or it could be a separate sub species.
