I too enjoy natural looking tanks and to me black is natural enough thanks for the input I cant wait till I can clean the sand tomorrow (too late now). btw is your endli sb?

I think so, but there is some debate on the forum as to whether it is shortbody, semi-shotbody, or normal. I purchased it from a vendor on here as a SB endli, but either way he's awesome and I'm happy :D

interesting, its cool to see someone go thorugh and take pics of it happening to 2 different endlis to show contrast etc.

thank you. i have to admit, it was not a purely intention experiment. my grow out tank had the black gravel and my main tank has the red and white sand. i prefer the contrast the endlis get over the lighter colored sand opposed to the overall darkening on the black gravel. i really cant speak for the other species though. i have seen some magnificent colors on p.buet and p.palmas on black substrate.

aha

i eneded up getting like red sand tan sand and a tad bit of black and mixed them together and it looks similar to HAOs

very nice choice. make sure to send pics when everyone is settled in.

Will do I mixed in too much tan so I'm going to have to wait for another 5-10 lb of the reddish brown
