Given that the OP is in the US do you actually think the LFS would rename a legal fish for an illegal one like a snakehead??? And then sell it to someone's mom who doesn't know what it is? Sounds plausible to me...

About as logical as selling legal tobacco labeled as marijuana...

What a great surprise. Unfortunately the op doesnt have the means of keeping it. Wish he would ship it up here to 3p...I have a 640g setup for a baby sumped in with our farm tanks...dont have the money for a pima though.

It really pisses me off when people post idiotic comments like this one (quoted @ the bottom of my post) making false accusations and flaming where flaming is far from needed, he is asking honest questions and trying to get as much info as possible so that he can properly care for his fish while he has it, so unless you all can answer his questions, you need to stfu.

Yes it IS idiotic to buy large fish before having a tank to accomadate it - IN MY OPINION!

The rest of my comment is directed towards the fish shop for selling it with no real info.

And I stick by my statement that the fish is not going to have the BEST future. That would be in the river where it belongs!!!

Think before YOU post before calling other peoples posts "idiotic".

You just bumped a 2 month old thread 3 times in the last 5 minutes. It's the weekend, it's not that busy.

This is my first time reading the thread...so did the op get his 10x3x3 tank yet, I know they're super easy to come by...cheap too!
