Black Substrate?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks guys, and I will be heading to tractor supply! I want to use black just because the contrast, and my backing is black, which keeps it consistent and should make the colors on the fish "pop" IMO.

Large river 'pebbles', and then put some black diamond sand around it. Looks pretty cool. The rocks are more of a dark grey, and are in different shades, so it offsets the black sand well. Perhaps I'll post a pic later. . .

Idk, I've been keeping fish for a minute and doing weekly water changes get old fast, exp if u have multiple tanks to upkeep. For me personally, its a BOAT load easier to have either bare bottom or tile. If u can set up the flow of ur tank to pull the poop straight to the filter, there's no such thing is vaccuuming the substrate. Just drain and fill. Makes water changes.so much easier. Of course its not as "cool" or "natural" as actual substrate, but what it boils down to is enjoying the FISH that's in the tank, not the tank itself

JDM STYLE BEETCHES lmao

sevank21 I hear yah bare bottom is so convinient I always suggest to paint your tank bottom black before set up just in case you change your mind about substrate and want to go that way, but yes tractor supply is best for black sand but lesllies PFS looks nice or if tank is still dry and want to go dark on bottom some cool black marble tile with green lightning streeks in it siliconed down would be nice post pics when filled...
