Black Tahitian Moon Sand?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
pretty, its inert so no parameter changes but it is an absolute PAIN IN THE ASS to keep clean!! it ruined an awesome filter when my fish started scrapping, makes certain fishes colors pop, worked well with my jack dempseys

I have it in my 55, nice and contrasty for aquascaping. So long as you don't have any dark brown/mostly black fish it should look nice.

I use it in my 75g. never had a problem with it getting in filters (xp3 & emp400), makes fish colors really stand out. 3M Color Quartz works just as well from all I've read, the biggest problem with it is finding a dealer.

Good luck!

i have like 25lbs on my 75g tank
It looks good, but gets sucked up easily by the gravel cleaner

Otolith that tank's aquascape is AWESOME, that floating hollow log rocks, is it something you found or is it a manufactured log that will always float? something like that would be cool to bring deco to top of tank that the fish could actually utilize if it always floats
