How long will they be able to survive in a 300 gallon with only sand as a decoration?
Wont they adapt to there surroundings and not get to their max size?

I don't need any answers like don't get one or anything like that. The reason i'm asking is because i saw that jesse james had 2 in around a 150-200 gallon tall tank on motorcycle mania or something and they looked pretty healthy.

NO.

a 200g tank isnt enough for even a single btr pup. [and you mentioned tall, too:cry:]
i feel bad for those animals.

I know Jesse personally - not sure which episode you saw, but they're in a 4000 gallon long. Too small still, but MUCH better than a 300.

I've heard of aquarists attempting keep BTR pups in 1,000-2,000 gallon tanks or ponds. I've seen videos of aquarists keeping young BTR in tanks that are about 4,000-5,000 gallons. But these were all sharks under 3 ft long.

I've yet to see actual proof of a BTR over 3.5 ft surviving in a 5,000 gallon tank/pond. And truthfully I really don't want to see it, because that would be just cruel. I've seen several videos of aquarists & Fish shops that have kept young BTR pups in rectangular tanks that are about 500-1,000 gallon tank - which looks incredibly cruel to shark.

Bonnets that small never do well.
Do you have the tank to support them? If so, shoot me a PM. I'm in the South FL area and do a lot of shark work down here.
