OK I just had a commercial tint applicator meet me at my house and they installed the vinyl on the tank on a slightly extended lunch hour....pics later.

its lets 0 light through, all my cords and my pvc runs off the back...cant see it at all

Sounds like a good idea. I bought a background for my 75 and don't like the way it looks. I would definitely put it on before the rest of the set up. I might do something like that when I get a 125, if I ever do.
theres mine, I love them compared to normal backgrounds, I find it reflects the light also which is sweet. Painting the backgrounds is cheaper but so I tend to do it for display tanks. Only downside is getting all the air bubbles oh boy the nightmares !!!
i changed mine to black background i got from petsmart, its pretty high quality product and looks just that very black background..the upside with it i can take it off in a matter of minute if not second 
It works GREAT!!! If you know how to apply window tint by spraying water and squeegee it then it looks awesome and is CHEAP. I bought a roll of the black shelf liner kind at Lowes
