Black & white catfish

My brother bought the coolest catfish but he doesn't know what kind it is (neither did the shop). I don't know its age but it's about 6" long and looks just exactly like a Red Tail Catfish except it has no red on it at all. Just solid black with white stripes. Does that ring a bell with anyone? I'd love to have one but want to know 1st what it is. If anyone has ideas I can look it up on PlanetCatfish. Otherwise I'll get a picture.

Not a Raphael. I've got 4 striped Raphael and he's got a spotted Raphael. He's in a 150 g tank and I didn't want to get in and tear the tank up to get a picture when I was there today. I wish now I would've :-) He'd probably give him to me if I wanted him but I want to make sure 1st he's not going to get 3' long.
 
look up "black devil cat" thats 99% like what you are describing. they get VERY agressive. hence the name.
 
That was a good guess, Bottomfeeder but it's not it. Sure is a cool catfish in the link you sent though. It looks identical to a small red tail catfish but has no red tail.

Real super close. If the Black Devil cat had 2 wide stripes down his sides that'd be what it'd look like. Thank you!
 
Tigrinus? I just looked those up and they're super nice looking. But still not it. The stripes on the one my brother got are 1 stripe along each side and run from mouth to tail (from what I can remember). I'm going to have to just get a picture. But I do appreciate the ideas and have found some cool catfish I'd never heard of.
