That sucks man, but a 17 incher must've been pretty awesome. I don't know why everyone says malas are so inactive, any that I've had take food (and chunks of skin) out of my hand, and I even had them shocking with a VATF and swimming in the powerhead.

Couple more quick pics. Wish I would've left the black sand in my tank, he's not showing as black as I'd like, but still love the colors. Second pic is my favorite trait about him; even when he lightens his belly from black to yellowish/brown the tips of his stay black. They look like they were dipped in ink.

That guy is a stunner! If I ever have a wolf, I want mine to look just like yours! :D
