Nice combo. They look great in there. As for the nipping, they will eventually get peaceful.

Thank you koji thats encouraging- and your right, the nipping has stopped- Ill have to wait and see how long it lasts

Hey Jim.. what i've notice between arowanas is comparable sizes, if both are the same sizes... they wont fight...
That't what happen with my two silvers who are now happily swimming together for almost 8months now..
I think yours will be fine.. but not sure how long since it seems your 220gallon isnt 6ft long?

actually thats not always true, sometimes the same sizes fight but small size aro+big size worked with me but its just on the fish itself

I dont know Jon, I think I might be with Hao on this one... The afrowana you asked about the other day got killed by another type aro and all three in the tank was the same size-
How big does the 220g seem? Its 72"x30"x24"

Thank you for the compliments indiana and lizard, I really appreciate the nice words

nice...i have been thinking of doing the same with my 19" silver aro, idk if i want to do blacks, leis or jars...might do them all and see what works...

If youre going to put 2 more 20" aros in with your silver, i hope
1)your tank is really big
2)youve got 2 spare tanks that are really big- just in case
why not more silvers? it might be your best bet- especially over the two aussies

ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! THAT ONE GOT KILLED THAT ONE!!!

Your 220g for a moment looked a bit smaller.. but thats usually the case with tanks... My current tank is 72" x 20" x 24" (150g) and it always looks smaller one pictures...

well i've had arowana died on me before.. one of my biggest silver picked on a smaller one and died in one day.. (after i got it home early in the morning)..

The two arowana that i have in my tanks did fight when they were first introduced.. but over time they got used to each other and aside from some nip pick... no big causality.... but i have started to think their mated pairs..

Anyways.. sorry for your lost.. That was a such a sad loss.. :(

sucks bro

Never kept black's, But had 4 lrg silvers for quite some time, and now have 3 sub-adult silvers. Not saying they were best friends but it worked.

They look great, good luck with them, hope it works out
