Blerehi compared to Pulchras

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Absolutely insane mix of SH.
The pulchra will get a lot bigger, and thicker than the bleheris.
It will be around this point that he will decide that the bleheri and assam look like a decent snack. My pulchras have all got VERY territorial at a grown age, and to mix them with anything other than pulchras is stupid. (even pulchras together can be a disaster waiting to happen)

Listen to Brucki, he knows his stuff and is somewhat of a resource for snakehead knowledge.

Thanks for helping but i only have 1 pulchra, 1 blerehi and Lipor Snakehead, there are no assams, (my blerehi is channa blerehi not blue blerehi).

Besides, my pulchra will be going in with my Oscars when he's reached an in-edible size

Please don't do that. Your Pulchra won't last very long.

any advice? i have 2 oscars living witha red tail black shark and small peacock malawi, the oscars are quite peaceful, do you not think i would get away with a decent size pulchra in with just the oscars:confused:

Not a great idea.
SHs are best kept out of the community. Not worth the risk IMO.

My personal advice would be:
Seperate tank for the Pulchra, the bleheri and lipor could go in another tank together.

Or take back to the LFS you got them, and just keep one species.

I also Have Ornatipinnis now -

the blerehi and the Ornatipinnis seem to leave eachother alone, also the Ornat. and the Pulchra dont bother eachother what if i split the tank down th middle with the pulchra and Lipor together (Because the Lipor is the bigger of the 2 and the Pulchra wont mess with him), and the Blerehi and the Ornatipinnis on the other side (they dont bother eachother)

What do you think of that?

How did the ornate suddenly appear?

Sorry, but I am thinking this is all a wind up now. Take a tank picture with any of the snakeheads in, and you will be taken more seriously.

If this all was true, then you are treating these fish very badly, and I no longer wish to advise you on anything.

CRAZY.
