O also chris for breeding blood parrots to other species. I've paired midevils and bps sucessfully over ten times by matching two that were EXACTLY the same colour (male slightly bigger than female). This has worked for me every time, the only exception being with a male who was not previously socialized (I couldn't get him to spawn with anyone ever lol).
So hope that helps, but try to use a midas that has spawned before, I had a lot of problems with immature males not fertilizing the eggs, parrots don't really know what they are doing to begin with lol but in the words of ed

My larger female has paired with a Fader and a Red Devil before. Only problem is my male Cits are nasty so I might have problems pairing.

Haha...Congrats! Are there any other fishes in the tank with them? Not impossible for another male to fertilize the eggs.
