The other factor nobody has mentioned is age/size. Most Vieja types will really change coloration from a still young 5" to when they become young adults. Some reds/yellows may appear later.

Cant be Zonatus because Zons got the black line to the eyes. And that's too much red on the tail.

Looks young and like one of those that blooms into an amazing fish and color up with age. Wow he is strong with the blue metallic

I've bought a couple of Bifas from Jeff over the years in different sizes down to a 3"-4"er and he came red head yellow body already.

I ordered thru' our sole distributor in Singapore for Jeff Rapp. My order include syn, zonatus, bifa and breidohri. I doubt Jeff Rapps will make a mistake. I am trying to check with others having the bifa from the same shipment but yet to have any reply.

Yes, I know the fish look weird and people start question on the bloodline. I have a F1 blue face fenestratus from another well known seller from US too. Some also argue that it is a hybrid.
