What other central american cichlids do you guys suggest go with a blue dempsey in a 75 gallon tank. just curious. ;)

from what ive herd the blue jds arnt very aggressive so all i can think of is a oscar maby or some firemouths

just central american. yeah. i was thinking firemouths. or maybe honduran red points would go nicely.

ive got the heros sp. rotkeil (redheads), but they're gonna stay in my 350 south american setup. That's strictly for south americans, and the 75 is gonna be just for central americans. I want to give a try at a blue dempsey.

Actually, i just got a suggestion from a buddy of mine. ;)

GOt it all planned out, and taking the words of somebody else, all i need to do now is get "rid of those bloody africans". :D

getting rid of some mbuna's. 14 to be exact. They're more of the common ones with a few that are a bit uncommon like, metriaclima estherae (ob). Then I plan on using that 75 gallon and having one blue jack dempsey as the centerpiece. Then I'm looking for a few others to compliment him/her. I'm also looking for a theme for the tank. I was thinking the little army men and creating a miniature battlefield, but not sure that would work, so I'm up for all kinds of suggestions.

P power got me onto some amphilophus lyonsi. They kind of remind me of flowerhorns, only these guys arent hybrids :woot:

I'm tellin yaz...Amphilophus lyonsi are the way to go bro! LoL!! Docile, great colors, awesome contrast. I seriously think you should really consider gettin some of the Thorichthys aureus 'blue' that Rapps has as well. This will round up the colors of the tank, and make it a pimpin CA tank. ;)
