Blue gourami dead

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well you say that the FH chases them away from food. You think it might be possible that he had gotten weak and died from lack of food.

I vote FH. They are mean mother *shut yo mouth*
You don't see what they do at night. Do you feed your pleco?

I just bought a gourami yesterday, he's a male though, and can't get along with anyone in the QT, so he's in a breeder box, and now I have to decide whether to get rid of him, or just keep him in a box his whole life...that doesn't seem like a very good life to me :( I put some floating giant duckweed in, and now he isn't swimming frantically against the sides/bottom of the box, but still, he can't be happy in there.

a dwarf gourami just died eaten inside out stomach cut open . by the way fh is a 4 incher gouramis are 3 inches dwarf is 2 inches pleco is five

Whom to blame

I still say FH- My 4" FH has bitten me and drawn blood- he will accept NO ONE in his tank..

no way it's the pleco. my vote is the other gourami, mine love attacking echother. they even pick on my young aro on occasion, those little bastards are evil. but the colors keep the GF happy(bleh) it could also be the FH, you can't always watch the tank and those guys can be mean

That dosent sound like a Pleco death, the deaths from plecos Ive seen (my friends fish) or that Ive heard about were all goldfish or catfish and all died with marks on the outside of their body. My bet would definately be the FH. My friend Danny had his pleco in with Koi and fed them goldfish food his common Pleco killed 2 Koi in about a months time, and I believe one it was Kittykatfish (a MFK member) who lost a Bullhead to her common pleco, the other person was posting on a fishsite that I cant remember the name of.....these could be from not enough feeding...or maybe some common Plecos get mean after awhile.
