OK, just a quick update. Sorry it took me a few days to get pics (bad ones at that). But I think the little guy's put on a decent amount of weight. The first two pics are from today. The last one is the same as the beginning of the thread when I had just gotten him. Unfortunately I've run in to a new problem. My hippo tang decided he doesn't like the new guy and is nipping at his disk/fin. So the hippo's getting a tank downgrade to the 210g asap.
Looks good, does look alittle more weight on her! What size tank are they in? With the tang, you never know whats going to happen with these creatures!
They're in an 8'x3'x2.5' tank right now (Which is way to small; the new pics are from a corner of the tank, next to the overflow, where he likes to hang out). I really wasn't planning on having 3 rays, but now I have them. I may try to find someone local to adopt one, but for now I'm going to keep all three until I think the new dude is filled out). And for those of you that are worried about tank size, this tank is at my business, and the wall next to it is ~18' long, so I've got some plans Right now I'm really upset with the hippo, and if he doesn't go in to a fish trap right away, I'm going to give him/her the barbless hook treatment.
The last 2 nights she has been eating well on her own in a sectioned off place in the pool. She are squid, shrimp and mussels till she puffed up, I hope this means she will make it long term but time will tell.
