OMG THAT IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PAIR I HAVE EVER SEEN!

do u happen to ship any of the frys that come out of these spawns??

I sorta have a question... I currently have a EBJD at 1.5" been almost 2 months since i got him and is doing well.. What i'm wondering is... are they ok with JD at 3"? So far i have not seen any aggression from the bigger fish and my EBJD has a companion a REGULAR JD at 1.5" as well..

I'm hoping he makes it through.. I lost one EBJD due to a stupid "sucked in canister filter incident" and EBJD as always cost an arm and leg ($22)

Reg JDs are usually more aggressive then EBJDs.
In my experience anyways..it never works out.

Awesome looking fish, that pair is stunning..

I dunno much about fish breeding, in-fact I have never bred fish at all.

I have bred and hatched ball pythons years ago focusing on albinos, with small clutches of 6-8 eggs odds were against you.

AlbinoxAlbino = all albinos, rumors were they were weaker, never could afford to find out

AlbinoxHETAlbino = 1/2 albinos 1/2 normals 100% HET for the albino gene.

HetAlbino x HetAlbino = 25% Albino, 75% of the normal looking snakes would have a 66% chance of being 100% albino.

Forget the snakes lets talk fish even though I never bred fish before.

Lets take the classic EBJD producing pair, usually a BLUE male X a 100% HET female.

Hope to get 50% blue fry and 50% normal fry who are 100% HET for BLUE.

Now take the most healthy fish (regardless of sex from the 100% HETS), raise and seperate the sexes.

Now with 2 groups of NORMAL looking fish, both 100% HET for Blue, breed them together, yes its still in-breeding, but from breeding HET to HET we are only asking for a 25% of the babies to be blue.

I'm just throwing ideas into the air, but I was in ball pythons for a LONG time, and there clutch sizes of 4-7 eggs made it very hard to get what you were breeding for unless the gene was co-dominate, which I know in EBJD it is not.

Love those EBJD's see them once in a while, nice ones in Jersey always run $70.

I will always have them on my radar.
