Bluegrass Aquatics

I had a so-so experience with Bluegrass a few years ago. No problem with communication, shipping, or fish quality. But one of the three species I ordered was wrong, got Burundi fronts when I ordered Mpimbwe. This was maybe 9 years ago, so don't know where he was shipping from then, but if these were being shipped from Florida and not KY, it's possible he didn't pack them himself and would have straightened it out if I'd complained. But since they were 1 inch babies and I was less sure of myself with fronts at that point it took me a little while to be sure of what they were, though I was suspicious of them when I got them. By the time I was sure I was too busy to go back and deal with a transaction I'd made a few months earlier, considering the price was not bad either way.

I will say if there's one thing I really don't like it's being sent the wrong fish and it was enough that I never ordered from Bluegrass again. Not trying to trash them based on one experience, but whoever the original source of the fish was would know if they were Burundi or Mpimbwe and sent the wrong fish.

Ordered 8 fish about 3 years ago when I first set up my 220G tank. They all arrived fine and healthy. I still have 3 of the 8 fish. The other five were sold off. The 3 I have remaining from the original purchase are a male red empress, male ngara flametail, and a male rampochromis. They are full grown now and are beautiful and super healthy. They look like they were bred from good stock because in those 3 years these fish have never been sick. Just my experience.

On aquabid, Blue grass has 100/100 positive reviews. I will give him a shot on some haps and report back.
prontodelivery on aquabid got great reviews but his fish are hormone'd n not to mention he used another account for shilling. But back to blue grass, I wouldn't be surprised if he takes great care of ur order just so you can come back here n write good reviews.
eddie didn't bother to take care of these issues before OP made the thread. Now he's panicking because people get together and share their bad experience n it might hurt his reputation. Should have seen it coming if ya ask me.

I did an order just a few months ago with no issues at all. I placed the order, they arrived alive and well. There was a heat pack in the box as the weather was cold. All fish are still alive and exactly what i ordered.

wow all the negative comments are coming from people that recently joined the site or have very very few post, i have heard nothing but good things of bluegrass.... haven't ordered from them, but if i ever do, i am sure i will get great looking fish..... hes been a vender on here since 2010, and up tell now ( no negative feedbacks on his feedback section at all......... ) i feel something (fishy) is going on....

Just because some of us are new or are not extremely talkative does not make any of us any less knowledgeable about our hobby. For instance, even if I had joined two days (which I didn't) it would not negate the fact that I have kept fish for over 30 years and have developed a wealth of knowledge and experience; nor does choosing to primarily read what is going on in most cases without posting every detail of our life experiences to fill the silence mean that we haven't had any of the same experience which we could speak of if we chose to do so. Silence can be golden. In my personal opinion your generalization and assumption was quite narrow minded and somewhat offensive. People have posted here simply stating THEIR personal experiences and you are criticizing them for doing so.... and then you wonder why some of us have made so few posts. (Sarcasm)

And the fact that you have never ordered from him means that you have no personal experience from which to speak. Only random assumptions and hearsay, which really don't count for much. I didn't even go into how he over charged me by almost $50 or how he didn't pack my fish the way I had requested or any of the other many things that went wrong in my purchase.... the only reason he has been a vendor on here for so many years is because he pays to advertise on the site, at least that's what he told me when I got my fish.

I ordered a couple years ago. It took a while to actually ship. I was suppose to get white tail acei but ended with normal ones. Which ended upbringing fine since they were very nice quality. I also order some msobos and most died shortly after. It was winter so maybe that contributed.
I most likely would order again but I was no super upset about.
